Koh Samui Shooting Range Address & Prices, Thailand

Koh Samui’s main shooting range is located near the Chaweng beach area. Before opening fire on the range, visitors can spend some time training with instructors in order to learn about the different weapons and firing techniques.
Once ready, you can aim and fire at paper cut-outs with real bullets. The shooting range is fully licensed and participants don’t need any special licence or skills in order to enjoy this activity.

Choices of weapons include pistols, rifles and revolvers as well as a variety of semi-automatic weapons. All through your shooting and training session, you will be under strict supervision from your instructor. Whether you are a novice or an experienced shooter, you will certainly enjoy this amazing activity.

Visitors should note, that prices vary depending upon the weapon that you choose and the number of rounds that you want to shoot. All shooters are required to follow the safety regulations and verbal rules within the shooting premises.

    • Hi Luke,

There is another shooting range called Samui Paragon Gun Shooting Range. Here is their Facebook page, their website doesn’t seem to work.

It appears to be located on the south-west of the island. I haven’t been there, so cannot give you any further details unfortunately. Maybe you could report back to us so that I can advise others interested in this activity.

Have a great time on Koh Samui!

      Kind regards,
      Jess

    • G’day Jesse,

After a quick check of street view, the Google Map appears to have the correct address for the Koh Samui Shooting Range. I have pinned it for you here.

If you look further north from the map, you can see that its only about 1.4kms south from the popular tourist attraction “Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks” (aka Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks). So if you are having trouble directing your driver, get them to take you there.

      Hope this helps!

      Cheers,
      Jess

    • Hi Cam,

We are not the shooting range. You will need to contact them directly and they should be able to advise you on their weaponry. Unfortunately I don’t have an email for them, so you may need to do a bit of searching to find it.

      Best regards,
      Jess

    • Hi Paul,

You will find that the Koh Samui shooting range is very informal and doesn’t do packages or “group bookings” as we would here in Australia.

Current prices are around 1800 Baht ($60AUD) for 10 rounds for and they will charge 200 Baht ($8AUD) for a photo. Depending on how many rounds you want to shoot will determine the price. This will have to be negotiated with the store on the day.

If you are looking for accommodation and other activities, then we can point you in the right direction. But as for the shooting range, you can just rock up and start shooting without any booking beforehand.

      Regards,
      Jess

    • Hi Jennifer,

The range doesn’t publish any information on age restrictions, however Thailand is not a country that says “no” very often, particularly if you are willing to pay. So it wouldn’t surprise me if children were allowed to shoot as well.

Just beware the tourist traps here as they will try to charge you for taking photos (200baht a pop!)

      Enjoy your day,
      Regards
      Jess

    • Hi Tricia,

      Operating Hours: 10.00am – 6.00pm
Ticket Prices/Admission: Prices start from approx 900 baht and increase depending on qty of rounds purchased.

Please beware that if the operators offer to take your picture, they will charge you for it, so please make sure you negotiate a price beforehand.

      Regards,
      Jess

  • Hi!!
I’m organising a group of 8 people who are excited to shoot some guns.
We will be there for a few days in March and wanted to know do we need to book for a group of 8?

We are staying at Ark Bar in Chaweng and wanted to know the best way to get there, walk/taxi?

    Thank you.
    Aaron

    • Hi Aaron,

The shooting range is 15kms from your accommodation, so in my opinion, too far to walk.

There are a number of transport options for you:
      1. Hire 4 scooters – between 150-300 baht per bike. This gives you the convenience to come and go as you please for the day.
      2. Catch one of the Songthaews – approx 60-80 baht per person one way. This operates like a bus, so is a slower option but is cheap.
      3. Hire a private mini-van – 2000-2500 baht per day – between 8 people could be economical option because then you could use the car for the whole day and factor in some other sites.

I would also reccomend that you have your accommodation call ahead to tell them you are coming. The Thai’s often keep unconventional schedules and sometimes places are closed even though they should be open.

Have a great time on Koh Samui!
      Regards,
      Jess
