Khun Si Waterfall

Khun Si Waterfall is one of Koh Samui’s most stunning waterfalls to visit.

It is hidden away, so it may not be the easiest to access but its worth it. It’s only a short distance from the breathtaking Khun Si View Point.

What makes this waterfall so unique is that it is tucked away among the lush, vibrant jungle and amidst durian plantations.

During the trek, you will find some of the most breathtaking views of Koh Phangan. The falls features tiered rocks and boulders, and the water cascades, forming small natural pools that make for a refreshing dip. The water is cool, perfect for recharging especially on a warm tropical day.

The surrounding plantations and jungle are quiet, and visitors are encouraged to explore the area; just keep in mind that it is not permitted to pick durians since it belongs to private land. Visitors should also remember to practice caution when travelling here; the rocks may be slippery, so it pays to take along a good pair of trekking shoes. It is also recommended to check the depth of the water before jumping in for safety. Due to the steep hikes required to get to the falls, visitors should also check their fitness levels. Avoid climbing to the falls in the dark or alone.

When you plan a trip to Khun Si Waterfall, bring sensible footwear, drinking water, mosquito spray, towels, and swimwear. Additionally, bring money in the local currency for things you may want to purchase such as food and refreshments on the way up.

To get to the falls, it is best to use your GPS and take a car or motorbike. The road has a deep curve, but make it over to the highest point in the area, and you’ll find a dirt road. Continue driving along the dirt road until it is impassable, then walk until you see a wooden sign letting you know that you have arrived.
