Chayaphon, also known as Pbu, came to Koh Tao in 2001 after leaving Chumphon, her hometown where she learned the ins and outs of traditional Thai cooking from her grandmother. Coming from a family where the women were superb chefs, Pbu inherited a love for her local cuisine.
Today, the restaurant is a testament to both Chris and Pbu’s passion for exceptional Thai food with a creative flair. The fine art photo gallery is an extension of Chris’ other passion, photography. Guests who come to the restaurant can see life underwater through Chris’ lens, as well as other jaw-dropping images of the Koh Tao landscape. The pair got married in 2012, which was also the same year the restaurant was opened. It is now a successful family business, and all are invited to experience warm Thai hospitality and savour delicious food found nowhere else in the country.
The Gallery may very well be Koh Tao’s best fine dining experience. Wine lovers will appreciate the premium wines here; the wine selection is regularly updated by 2 professional sommeliers who occasionally visit. They also hold regular wine tastings, which are highly recommended if it coincides with your trip.
