Valentine Stone

The Valentine stone of Koh Samui is a popular attraction, especially among lovers and couples. Legend has it that if a couple touches the stone, they will be rewarded with an everlasting love.

Even though it’s a man-made complex, the stone is worth visiting for its unique heart shape.

Valentine Stone, Entrance Price & Opening Hours, Lamai Koh Samui

The heart-shaped stone was discovered by enterprising Thais, who saw that it could make an excellent tourist attraction on the island. The entrance fee costs just around 100 baht, and this is inclusive of a bottle of water.

It’s one of the many magnificent rock formations in Koh Samui, with the others being the Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, Overlap Stone, and Elephant Rock.

The area surrounding the stone is picturesque, perfect for taking photographs. There are flowers, lots of lush greenery, and cute signs to take your pictures with. There is also a fish spa near the stone where you can sit and have the fish tickle your feet as they cleanse the dead skin cells off.

Visiting the Valentine stone makes a great day trip in Koh Samui. After you’re done with the stone and the fish spa, the nearby Sivatara waterfall is highly recommended. It’s the closest waterfall to the stone, and it’s a tranquil, lovely place.

From the falls, you can take a 15-minute scenic trek to reach a viewpoint, and from here you can take even more romantic photos with a panoramic view of the ocean behind you. There is a small restaurant near the entrance to the viewpoint, perfect for relaxing with light snacks and cold drinks.

To get to the stone, take your motorbike or car towards Lamai. You’ll find signs leading you to the rock around one kilometre from the city centre. These attractions are open all day from 9am to 6:30pm.
